Pet Allergy & Dermatology

Diagnose and treat common skin conditions.

Pets can struggle with dermatological issues the same way people can. It’s common for the issues to cause a variety of unpleasant symptoms that range from minor itching and discomfort to outright pain.

We can diagnose and treat numerous skin conditions, including allergies, autoimmune conditions, dermatitis, infections, hormonal disorders, parasites, tumors, and skin cancer.

Now Offering HT Vista

Fast. Non-Invasive. Reliable.

HT Vista is the world’s first AI-powered, non-invasive imaging device designed to detect cancer in dermal and subcutaneous masses in dogs—right at the point of care. With a simple 40-second scan, veterinary teams can confidently rule out malignancy, identify high-risk masses, and guide next steps—all without the need for painful or costly procedures.

  • Early Detection Saves Lives
1 in 4 dogs will develop cancer in their lifetime. HT Vista empowers clinics to catch malignancies early, improving outcomes and giving pet owners peace of mind.
  • Non-Invasive & Stress-Free
No needles. No anesthesia. HT Vista uses Heat Diffusion Imaging (HDI) and AI algorithms to analyze tissue thermodynamics, offering a painless experience for pets and a quick decision-making tool for vets.
  • Instant Results
Scan results are delivered within minutes, allowing for immediate action or reassurance. With 90% sensitivity and 98% negative predictive value, HT Vista provides confidence in every diagnosis.
  1. Clip the fur over the mass
  2. Scan the area with HT Vista (40 seconds total)
  3. Get Results instantly on-screen

HT Vista heats the tissue for 10 seconds, then monitors its cooling pattern. These thermal signals are analyzed in the cloud using a machine learning algorithm trained on thousands of validated cases.

Environmental Allergies in Charleston

Charleston’s warm, humid climate and lush landscapes make it a beautiful place to live—but they also contribute to a high prevalence of environmental allergies in dogs. Common triggers like pollen, mold, grass, and dust mites can cause persistent itching, red skin, ear infections, watery eyes, and even respiratory issues. These symptoms often worsen in the spring and fall when allergens peak.

If your dog is scratching more than usual or showing signs of discomfort, they may be reacting to something in their environment. Our veterinary team can help identify the cause and create a personalized treatment plan to keep your pup comfortable year-round.

Diagnosing and Treating Skin Conditions

At All Creatures Veterinary Clinic, we rely on state-of-the-art technology to help us identify the cause of skin conditions in pets. We may require blood work and/or a biopsy to aid us in diagnosing the issue.

Once we diagnose the condition, we can treat it using a number of modalities, some of which may include medications (we carry a variety of them here in the hospital), supplements, topical creams, and surgery. We don’t believe in “one-size-fits-all” treatment, so your pet’s treatment plan will be tailored to meet their individual needs.

Your pet may have an allergy if they exhibit the following behaviors:

  • Obsessively chewing or licking the affected area
  • Grooming more than usual
  • Constant scratching that leads to flaking skin, bald spots, and/or scabs

Other common signs of allergies include unusual lumps or bumps and smelly ears.

If you notice these symptoms and think your pet may be struggling with a skin condition caused by an allergy, let us address the issue and help them live a more comfortable life.
